James suffered a tremendous loss when his wife passed away.  He continued working until he had a heart attack.  Soon after recovering from his heart attack, his company had cut backs and Harley was let go.  He lost both his job and his medical coverage.  Within the next several months – Harley had two more heart attacks!  He was on continued medication, walked with a severe limp, experienced continual numbness and fell asleep spontaneously throughout the day.  At the advice of a social worker, Harley applied for disability.  He was waiting on a response, when he received an eviction notice on his door.  Bluffton Self Help, along with other human services organizations, paid the fee to stop the eviction!  Harley has since been approved for disability and moved into a smaller, more affordable, first floor apartment within the same complex.[spacer height=25]
