A Little Party. A Lot of Purpose.
Welcome to SIPS – we’re glad you’re here.
Our annual SIPS Party is about good food, great company, and the extraordinary things that happen when a community shows up for its neighbors.
Explore the evening. Meet the people. Make some good happen.
More Than a Sponsor. A Personal Commitment.
For Brenda and Graz Graziano, giving back is rooted in something personal: an understanding that hard work, opportunity, and a little support at the right moment can change the direction of someone’s life.
Through the Graziano Charitable Trust, their generosity helps make SIPS possible while supporting the work Self Help carries forward every day.
We’re grateful for their belief in our neighbors—and in what’s possible when a community invests in one another.
The Reason We’re Here.
Meet our 2026 Neighbors of Honor: Behind every program, every volunteer hour, and every dollar invested is a neighbor with a story worth telling.
Meet Angela
From graduating Self Help’s Getting Ahead program to delivering the commencement address at Technical College of the Lowcountry this past May, Angela’s journey has taken her to some pretty remarkable places. Next stop? The SIPS stage, where she’ll share a little more of her story with us.
GLORIA
For Gloria, graduating from Self Help’s Getting Ahead program wasn’t the finish line. It was the beginning of something bigger. With a dream of launching a construction company alongside her husband, she began turning ambition into a plan. Working with her Client Advocate, she connected with new resources, strengthened her resume, and secured employment while preparing for entrepreneurship. Today, she’s balancing the demands of earning a living with the excitement of building something her family can call its own. And she’s just getting started.
JORGE
When Jorge first walked through Self Help’s doors, he wasn’t asking for the world. He was looking for work, stability, and a chance to move forward. Within two months, he had a job. Within three, a place to call home. But Jorge’s story didn’t stop there. With determination and support from our Client Advocacy team, he kept building on each success. Today, he’s a supervisor, a vehicle owner, and financially stable. What happened between those milestones is a story worth sharing.
LISA
Lisa once worked as a journalist in China, chasing down inspiring stories and headline-worthy interviews, including a U.S. president. But her own story has taken some unexpected turns. Over the past four years, she’s connected with Self Help through The Market, education and workforce development, and Client Advocacy. Each opportunity helping her prepare for what comes next. Now, she’s getting ready to step into a Bluffton classroom as a teacher. After years of telling other people’s stories, Lisa is now writing an extraordinary chapter of her own.
SHEILA
Sheila has cooked for some of the Caribbean’s finest hotels, building a career around flavors, traditions, and a remarkable culinary talent. But even the most accomplished careers can lead to unexpected new beginnings. Today, she’s bringing a taste of Jamaica to Lowcountry tables while pursuing a business of her own. With experience, determination, and support from Self Help, Sheila is discovering that her greatest creation might not come from a kitchen at all. It might be the future she’s cooking up for herself.
A Little Something Worth Bidding On.

One stunning work of art. One lucky winner.
Renowned photographer Ben Ham has generously donated King Tide, a beautifully framed 59″ × 48″ piece capturing the beauty of the Lowcountry.
Raffle tickets are $100 each. Every ticket is another chance to win.
The winner will be announced live at SIPS on October 16. You do not need to be present to win.
Not Raising a Paddle? You Can Still Raise a Little Hope.
Our auctions are just one of several ways that help make our annual SIPS Party an impactful evening for Lowcountry neighbors in need. Monetary gifts of any amount help provide nutritious food, emergency financial assistance, education, and individualized support for neighbors working toward a more stable future.
Every gift matters to a Lowcountry neighbor in need.
