Our Basic Needs services are often the first step on one’s path to success by helping neighbors stretch their budgets and meet their basic needs. Because, we know individuals must first have their basic needs met before they can truly start to succeed.
The Market provides neighbors with healthy, nutritious groceries once a week to stretch their budget, promote a healthy life and fuel to succeed. Through The Market neighbors also receive hygiene items, cleaning supplies, diapers and clothing.
Neighbors shop once a week at The Market for healthy groceries including milk, eggs, bread, fresh produce and non-perishables. Providing 35 meals and helping to save $75 a week on groceries on average.
Any family with children in diapers may receive diapers and wipes twice a month.
The Market provides opportunities to shop for hygiene items such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
Neighbors have the opportunity to shop for household cleaning items as part of their weekly shopping.
Our clothing closet provides gently used workwear, children’s clothes, and uniforms to our neighbors. By providing this essential service, neighbors can access professional wear for interviews and new jobs giving them the look for success.

Bluffton Self Help neighbors may drive-thru once a week for pre-bagged groceries including meat, milk, produce, and non-perishables.
Drive-thru Market Hours: Mondays 4–6 pm
Bluffton Self Help offers home delivery services once a week for pre-bagged groceries to neighbors who are either homebound due to medical reasons or do not have transportation. This service may be offered on either a temporary or permanent basis. To apply, please call 843-757-8000 to complete a questionnaire and be added to the delivery schedule. Slots are limited.

The holidays can bring added financial stress, our holiday programs help to bring the magic of Christmas morning to children and bring families together around the table during the holidays throughout the year.

Open to all Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton or Colleton County residents with children ages birth to 13.
Education is an important key to success. To help ensure teachers and students are successful in our community we partner with all 10 local Bluffton schools to provide teacher supplies and healthy snacks.
Each year we work with local schools to provide teachers with items to fill their classrooms without emptying their wallets.
School Snack Program
The School Snack program provides all 10 Bluffton schools with snacks so teachers can focus on teaching and students can focus on learning. The Snack Closets are restocked throughout the entire school year.
