The Finance Director is a trusted business advisor to the CEO and responsible for the financial, insurance and compliance, IT, and human resource functions within the organization. The Finance Director manages the recording, review, and analysis of all entries into financial (QuickBooks) and donor software (Kindful) and reconciles all bank and investment statements. Working with the CEO they will assist in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. They will prepare, verify and evaluate monthly financial statements, support statements, and accounting reports for the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors. The Finance Director will be the lead on all Finance Committee meetings and attend and report at board meetings. This position must have experience in accounting and general knowledge of nonprofit accounting rules. Job duties include but are not limited to the following as well as other duties and special projects as may be assigned by the CEO as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
The Volunteer & Basic Needs Programs Coordinator is responsible for providing professional administrative and operational support to the Director of Volunteers and Basic Needs Programs, Program Manager of the Market and other designated members of the organization. Working in conjunction with the Director of Volunteers and Basic Needs Programs, this position will ensure that the facility is maintained, projects executed and completed in a timely manner and visitors and volunteers are educated on the organization’s mission and goals. This position must have strength in writing and interpersonal communications and attention to detail.
This part-time position serves as the evening support and admin for the Learning and Literacy Center. Positions are available in Bluffton, Hardeeville, and Hilton Head. Candidates must be customer focused, data-driven, organized and results-oriented. He/she must also believe and exemplify and have passion for Bluffton Self Help’s mission, vision and values.
