The Ida Martin Scholarship is named in honor of the founder of Bluffton Self Help who dedicated her life to helping her neighbors. What started nearly four decades ago by supporting our neighbors’ basic needs has evolved to providing education and training opportunities for all community members. Doing so allows them to improve their lifetime earning potential and pave their paths to success.
The education assistance program exists to support Lowcountry residents aspiring to earn an undergraduate/post-secondary degree or certificate at a publicly accredited technical, trade, or vocational school, college, or university.
