In August, school bells start ringing and anxious children prepare for that all-important first day of school. This year, Bluffton elementary schools implemented a policy of school uniforms. The cost of the required polo shirts and pants was beyond the means of many local families. Calls came to BSH from the school counselors that parents were distressed over their inability to purchase the required clothes.
BSH gave vouchers to those parents, providing two shirts and two pants per student in need. Those children were in compliance and prepared on day one!
