BASH at the Lake, Bluffton Self Help’s third annual fundraiser, is open to the entire community, and will be held on May 5th at Hampton Lake. This year’s event has added importance since it will serve as the kickoff event for the charity’s HOPE campaign to build a new home for Bluffton Self Help.
The event will have a Cinco de Mayo theme with heavy hors d’oeurves, signature drinks, a silent auction with over 60 exceptional items, a live auction for exclusive offerings, and door prizes. Advance tickets, if purchased prior by May 1st, are $40.00 each and may be bought at Bluffton Self Help, from BSH board members, or on the organization’s website (www.blufftonselfhelp.org).
Linda Kaufman, the 2011 BASH chairperson, says, “This year, our more than twenty committee members have outdone themselves, and event guests will reap the rewards! We are so thankful to the community of individuals, organizations and businesses who are making this year’s event the best ever”.
Founded in 1987 by Ida Martin, Bluffton Self Help has grown from one woman fulfilling a critical need for neighbors and friends to an organization that today serves more than 20,000 clients annually, providing food and clothing as well as short-term financial assistance for the working poor.
