Phlip Phlop or Roar in support of Bluffton Self Help this weekend!
Starting early Saturday afternoon two local clubs offer chances to support Bluffton Self Help.
Phlip Phlop Phlockers Club has signed up over 80 participants to join in a Poker Pub Crawl starting at 2 pm at the 9 Promenade Restaurant in Old Town Bluffton. Participants wander to other local restaurants, Mi Tierras, Corks, Captain Woody’s and The Dispensary to obtain one playing card for a “winning hand.” Prizes include golf and restaurant packages. Cost is only $20. For more information log onto www.phlockers.com.
The Parrot Head Clubs offer social activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffet while offering humanitarian opportunities that are mutual beneficial. Phlip Phlop Phloppers, the Bluffton Club, is heading up this effort on behalf of Bluffton Self Help.
During about the same time, SuperCycles of Bluffton is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt, collecting donations of can goods from the participants. One-hour-long registration begins at 1 pm at Peppers Porch on Highway 46 and costs $15 and TWO non-perishable food items. Participants on bikes, cars and cycles will be given a list of items to photograph for points. The event ends at Montanas by 4 pm sharp to turn in results, eat and enjoy entertainment by Big B and the Stingers. So pedal, drive or roar your way to Peppers Porch for a great fall ride for a purpose. For more information on the scavenger hunt call 843-815-3478.
Supercycles will be collecting toys at Christmas for their second holiday event of the season.
