Courtney Hampson became the new chief executive officer at Bluffton Self Help this week.
Hampson, who previously was the nonprofit’s chief operating officer, is taking over for former CEO Kimberly Hall. Bluffton Self Help board chair Doug Adamson said in a statement that Hampson’s appointment as CEO was effective May 1.
Hall had been Bluffton Self Help’s CEO since 2017. The statement said Hall and her family are moving to Montana, where her husband has taken a new job.
Before she joined Bluffton Self Help, Hampson spent 16 years working at Palmetto Bluff. As vice president of marketing, “she led all facets of marketing for the 20,000-acre residential and conservation community and resort,” the statement said. She also served on Bluffton Self Help’s board of directors from 2010-12.
