John Orth, vice president of Bluffton Self Help, is like a child in a toy store. Well, he is in a toy store!

Starting right after Halloween, John Orth rolls up his sleeves and takes on the daunting task of heading up the holiday distribution programs at Bluffton Self Help. He coordinated the distribution of over 390 turkey dinners with the assistance of Lori Bonzagni, our holiday staff member. Working with Lori, John recruits expert toy sorters to prepare the more than 4,000 toys for distribution to over 1,200 children in Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties. And, boy does he get excited. John loves every minute of the holiday program. He guards the toys like a Marine on duty! Be certain… the children will feel the love and care, placed ever so carefully, in each of those Santa goodie bags.
