Chili like you’ve never tasted before. Cooks from as far away as Virginia, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and our own South Carolina will travel to Bluffton on Saturday, February 23 to say they competed in the RED APRON CHILI COOKOFF, the second annual cookoff to benefit Bluffton Self Help
The competition include four different categories plus the popular People’s Choice. Traditional Red Chili is peppers, vegetables and meats all dressed in red. Verde Green Chili is green vegetables, peppers and spices blended with meats. Salsa is Salsa! And, Homestyle is all the above with beans. Traditional Red and Verde Green has no beans or other fillers. Those are the rules and what you get is a vast variety of smells, tastes and flavors, all for the tasting. People’s Choice chili is anything goes and this is the chili the spectators get to vote on to pick their favorite. Last year it included shrimp, chicken and some other things we have yet to describe. All very good, all worth tasting and all up taste.

Crafts, hot dogs, and entertainment by three different bands will fill your day. Tickets are $7 prior to the event or $10 at the gate.
