Red Apron Community Hero | Robin Pickens
Robin is the best pantry organizer around! While the Tuesday afternoon shift was her regular shift, since COVID she now volunteers on Thursdays and helps sort food drives or organizes the warehouse. Robin always has great ideas for improvements and we are thrilled that she is comfortable sharing them. Thank you Robin for all you do for BSH and your neighbors in need.
Q&A with Robin:
What do you think other people should know about Bluffton Self Help?
[BSH} helps people in a variety of ways- with food, clothing, and financial support. [BSH] also supports other organizations.
Why do you continue to support Bluffton Self Help?
Very well managed and make the most of their resources – both people and money.
Is there a particular moment, memory that stands out to you while volunteering?
Recently, an older man got out of this car to take his groceries. He was obviously impaired, perhaps a stroke. It reminded me that we not just young families but all kinds of people need help.
