Robin Pickens is one of our passionate Basic Needs volunteers, dedicating her time to The Market during Monday distributions, and beyond. She already has an impressive list of duties as a floating ambassador during Monday night distribution, which includes assisting neighbors with questions, restocking items, and explaining Market rules and limits, yet she continues to go well above the call of duty. We can always count on Robin to provide us with clever, helpful suggestions on improving processes. As one of our veterans, we rely on her to train our new volunteers. Outside The Market, Robin also provides indispensable behind-the-scenes assistance by searching the local grocery stores for deals when we need to buy extra meat, welcoming neighbors at our monthly free produce events, and helping with other projects and community events both on and off-site.
For nearly seven years now, Bluffton Self Help has been greatly assisted and improved by Robin’s intelligence, patience, and great sense of humor. Thank you so much for all you do!
