For the past 21 years that Collins Group Realty has been serving real estate clients, giving back to the community has been a core value at the heart of the organization.
“Over those two decades, we have worked to expand and enhance the ways we actively support the community that supports us, including our annual food and toy drives, our fleet of community vehicle box trucks, our 200th Home Sale for Charity program, and our Community Results Project in collaboration with Community Foundation of the Lowcountry,” says Ashley Lindblad, Director of Marketing & Community Relations for Collins Group Realty.
If you have seen the big white community trucks driving through your neighborhood they may have been filled with toys, hygiene items, or nonperishable food donations to stock the shelves at Bluffton Self Help. Year after year, the team at Collins Group Realty has filled the Toy Shop shelves at Bluffton Self Help, bringing joy to thousands of Lowcountry children on Christmas morning. And because Chip, Ashley, and the team continue to look for new ways to make a meaningful impact, two years ago they became sponsors for our only annual fundraising event, the Sips & Seafood Party. They continue to show us the true meaning of “neighbors helping neighbors.”
When asked why they continue to support Bluffton Self Help, Chip adds “Opening our office in 2005 just around the corner from Bluffton Self Help, we have come to both appreciate and admire how effectively Bluffton Self Help touches so many lives in the rapidly expanding Bluffton area. For the past 18 years, especially as we have delivered the toys from our annual toy drive, we have seen their impressive growth in terms of their volunteer base, community reach, and reputation as a trusted place for support and comfort.”
The admiration is a two-way street with this incredible team. Their kindness and generosity know no bounds. If there is a need to fill, they show up, ready to work with helping hands. With more than half of our neighbors struggling to get by, this year, we are working even more closely to fill the gap in our community.
“In 2023, we have turned our annual focus of the Collins Group Realty Community Results Project to serve Bluffton Self Help at a deeper level,” Chip Collins, Owner/Broker-in-Charge of Collins Group Realty explains. “We are committed to sharing our talents, resources, and connections within the community to boost the efforts, goals, and needs of Bluffton Self Help. We have already begun our dive into the Work Wear clothing donation campaign, and we look forward to bringing results to several other need-driven donation campaigns throughout the 2023 calendar year.”
Bluffton Self Help is truly grateful to call Collins Group Realty a partner, and a neighbor. We cannot wait to see all we accomplish together in the upcoming year and how many lives we are able to impact. Because we cannot do it alone.
If you or your business is looking to give back to your community in a meaningful way we would love to hear from you.
