Like Katrina, who came to us in pursuit of securing her dream as a florist. The work ethic and tenacity she developed working in the hospitality industry served her well as she conquered English as a Second Language (ESL) in addition to securing her GED. Educational resources such as GEDs and ESL skills help neighbors like Katrina create opportunity—for themselves and their families, communities, and generations following in their footsteps.
Each academic year, it costs Bluffton Self Help roughly $1,200 per student to cover classroom supplies, textbooks, testing materials and supporting resources; therefore, when we say we invest in our students and community, we mean it.
