The last three years, thanks to our many wonderful supporters, provided me the rewarding opportunity to leave a legacy to the Bluffton community. This would not have been possible without the support of the amazing businesses, foundations and individual donors who believed in our dream to move Bluffton Self Help into a bigger, safer and better facility.
And most importantly, thanks to a group of outstanding board members, a very small but incredibly hard-working staff and over 150 day-to-day volunteers lead by Nancy Meyer, our volunteer coordinator,
Bluffton Self Help provided hope and a life-line to nearly 30,000 clients in a dignified and courteous way.
Dreams do come true when people work together for a common cause. I proudly hand over the reins to Tray Hunter, knowing that Bluffton Self Help is in very capable hands. Tray has served on our board for four years, is employed by Palmetto Electric, and is heavily involved in volunteerism in our community. With his sleeves rolled up and his strength in leadership, the agency has been placed in good hands. John Orth will continue to serve as our vice president, and as past president, I will continue to serve on our board, helping our neighbors dealing with hunger and poverty in the Bluffton community.
Thank you for your support and belief in the mission of Bluffton Self Help.
